The ideal setting to talk to Carlos Martínez Jarabo, partner of S&H and Project Manager of the Villa Ayantam project in Marbella (Malaga), the first zero emission certified villa in Spain, which incorporates 12 Wind Screen systems, providing solar control and beauty.
This project is a benchmark for the present and future of building because, among other achievements, it has achieved the EXCEPTIONAL BREEAM rating in the design phase, with the highest historical score for a residential project in Spain and has been considered the best residential building 2024.
Developed by S&H (Sustainability & Health) Sun Coast Real Estate, the project was executed by Ingemantec for the construction company Aryon Buildings, based on a project designed by the architectural team of OÖD Architects and the facilities engineering team Peláez Ingeniería.
Its designers and developers have chosen to protect from the sun and beautify the exterior with our innovative Wind Screen solutions. Villa Ayatam has 12 Dante line Wind Screen systems, with a box size of 125. For the fabric, a Soltis Opaque B92, colour Bronze 1043, has been chosen.
Carlos Martínez told us that the pillars of this project are "beauty, sustainability and health", "essential in the high luxury market". The remarkable thing about this project is that they were applied from the design phase, including our Wind Screen, chosen for its dynamic solar protection and its careful aesthetics, as Martínez Jarabo acknowledges.

Dynamic solar control
One of the keys to the high rating in sustainability obtained in this project is, precisely, energy efficiency, "and the Wind Screens undoubtedly contribute to this energy efficiency", they are controlled by a home automation system, programmed according to schedules and seasons, beyond their manual operation. They even have predictive systems to power the devices that control the Wind Screens.
Aesthetics
We cannot leave aside one of the keys to this project, the beauty, the aesthetic aspect, and "having the Saxun Wind Screens helps the design to be visualised in such a powerful way as it has been achieved".
"Our commitment to this solution was very clear from the beginning".
Tailor-made
Villa Ayantam is unique because each opening in this imposing residence is singular, with a specific solution for each corner, also for the openings occupied by the Wind Screen, "with specific dimensions, at a specific distance from the façade and an integration with the envelope system", according to Martínez Jarabo. And this can be achieved with customised and personalised work.
It is clear that Villa Ayantam has worked "always looking for excellence".
When it is finished we will show it to you in detail, but in the meantime we leave you the full interview with the developer so that you can discover more about this exciting project.
